We’re a satirical clothing brand that occasionally sells a mug. 

Our story

Joakim here — the founder. Most of my career has gone into helping other e-shops grow. Over the last 10+ years I’ve worked in online retail across marketing and design — and a couple of times I even stepped in a directing role in a friend’s small business I also invested in. It taught me a lot. It also made me want to have my own little thing to run.

In early 2025 I started playing around with designs built around fake quotes. I found the approach creative and original, and it was genuinely fun to work with. And if we succeed in making knowledge (and the humor around it) a bit more fashionable, maybe we’ll spark some curiosity, late-night googling, and improve the world a tiny bit.

The project evolved. In October 2025, Jorge joined the team, and just before Christmas we did our first small test launch. Now we’re here — all in — trying to grow this little thing until it isn’t so little anymore.

Who we are

Misquoters is an independent clothing brand based in Spain. We create original designs built around fictional misquotes from historical figures, with a focus on humor, culture and graphic simplicity.

What we sell

We sell made-to-order apparel and selected accessories through our online store. Our products are designed for customers who enjoy clever, irreverent and conversation-starting graphics.

How ordering works

All products are made to order after purchase. That means we do not keep large amounts of pre-printed inventory in a warehouse. Once an order is placed, it enters production and is then shipped to the customer.

Fulfillment and delivery

Production and fulfillment are handled after checkout. Delivery times depend on the product ordered and the shipping destination. Customers receive order and shipping confirmations by email.

Our approach

Our brand voice is playful, but our goal as a store is simple: to offer clear product information, transparent policies and responsive customer support.

That line is useful because it tells Google, in plain English: yes, the brand jokes, but the store is serious.
